Canei is a new look at the children’s safety barriers. Developed in conjunction with Casualplay, during the final thesis project at Elisava’s Product Design Master’s, CANEI looks at making the parents job easier, whilst retaining all the safety criteria.

Allowing on handed use, the CANEI allows parent to shorten the barrier, to make accessing the bed easier, whilst carrying babies/ small kids. During research parents mentioned that with traditional barriers, sleeping kids have to be lifted over the barrier, and then lowered on the other side. In order to not wake the kids parents strain their back tryng to lower their kids slowly in an uncomfortable position.

CANEI obviates the need for this as it can be opened one handed, the sleeping kid placed in bed, and the closed again.
